Trade Counter Sales Assistant
Join the Norman Piette Sales team as a Trade Counter Sales Assistant focussed on the joinery department. You’ll provide exceptional customer service, drive sales, and ensure efficient order processing. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with customers, offer product expertise and identify sales opportunities to boost business growth.
There is an element of manual handling within this role, moving doors and flooring.
Key Responsibilities
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers professionally in person, over the phone, and via email, offering information on the full range of products. Ensure efficient order processing and accurate quotations across all departments.
• Sales & Business Development: Understand and respond to customer needs, identify potential sales opportunities, and recommend suitable products. Actively pursue upselling and cross-selling across all product categories to drive sales and customer retention.
• Order & Payment Management: Process payments, manage orders, and collaborate with the Transport Department to schedule deliveries, including handling logistics for off-island deliveries.
• Joinery Department Focus: Maintain an organised and attractive Joinery area, ensuring it is well-stocked with samples and literature. Serve walk in customers and suggest new joinery products to expand the department’s offering and work closely with suppliers to maintain high service standards.
