Roofing Batten Availability
Guernsey Building Control have issued the following notice:
“Providing stress graded timber (c24) has been used to produce the roofing battens and all cut edges are re treated with a suitable wood preservative Building Control will consider that the requirements of Regulation 11 ‘Materials and Workmanship’ will have been satisfied.
Clearly a coloured preservative would be beneficial to identify that all surfaces have been coated.”
This treatment should be completed on site and we have the products readily available in which to use. If in doubt, please speak to a member of our team.

Breathable Membranes
Three sizes are available from stock alongside a 1.5m support tray.
Vent3 is a triple layer fabric, high performance breather membrane, made from high tensile spun bonded polypropylene layers, around a micro porous polypropylene film. Green slate surfaced top layer, ideal for use as the cap sheet to a multi-layer system or a single layer on shed roofs.
